WFMW: Frugal Eye Make Up Remover

The easiest and least expensive way I have found to remove eye make up (especially stubborn mascara) is to use a cotton ball with a bit of baby oil. I have had a large bottle of baby oil for a year or more and have hardly made a dent in it! The store brand works just as well as the name brand.

Thanks for the tip. I love the makeup removers wipes, but I don't love the price. I've been toying with the idea of making my own using similar instructions for the homemade baby wipes (but with ingredients that are friendly to the face).

And it's great for cleaning belly buttons. I put a few drops in the belly button, let is rest and allow the lint to soften, then take a Q-tip and slowly roll the lint out. Viola!!!

Wow I would never have thought to use that. So it doesn't sting if it gets in the eyes? I have a huge bottle someone gave me for my son, but I never used it.

Thanks for stopping by, Abby and Red.

And, no stinging, Pepper. But, once in a great while I will get a bit in my eye after wiping it. I just blink a few times and the filmy-ness goes away.
